Spiders get ready for the 2025–26 Winter Season

The AHA 2025–26 winter season, the league’s 24th year (though we all got 25th Anniversary hats!) and the Spiders’ 22st (21st in the winter league), gets underway Sunday.

The Spiders bid a fond farewell to:

• Ricky Tejeda (although we’ll have him sub whenever he can)
• Ryan Johnson (who will skate with the Daddy Spiders … C2 Spartans)
• Jon Pappone (albeit temporarily)

And a warm welcome to:

• Chris O’Connor (well, just a welcome back!)
• Marc Berman (even though we’ve skated with him many summers)
• And in net, Jack Sofie (who subbed for the Spiders during the playoffs last year)

The team captaincy remains unchanged following the usual unanimous single vote (two seasons ago) by Dave Schuster: Jeremy Litton as captain, and Mike Schroeder and Steve Olk as alternates.

The rest of the Spiders’ roster remains the same (albeit another year closer to the AARP league eligibility) and is ready to hit the ice to kick off the Spiders’ 22nd season in the AHA (21st winter season; 22nd including Beginner School), and will look to return to the playoffs for the second consecutive season (after a bit of a drought).
