AHA announces playoff schedule

The playoff schedule for the 2008–09 post-season has been released by the AHA, and the Spiders’ three games have been added to the schedule.

And at least for D1 East, with one week remaining in the teams’ schedules, the post-season field is already locked up, with just the seeding order remaining to be determined.
While the D1 Spiders and D1 Diablos have locked in the first and second seeds, respectively, the Wingmen and Lumberjacks remain tied at 25 points each in the standings, and both teams coming off wins last week. However, they both face equally tough opponents who can act as spoilers for the seeding. The Wingmen (12–6–1) face the Yellow Jackets (10–7–2), and the Lumberjacks (11–5–3) face the Royals (also 10–7–2).
Incidentally, both the Wingmen and the Lumberjacks represent the lone Spider losses this season.
The D1 berthing will be organized as:

- East #1 (Spiders), West #2, West #3, East #4
- Pool 2:
- West #1, East #2 (Diablos), East #3, West #4
