Post-season puck drops ... finally

With the regular season a distant memory, the C3 Spiders will lace up for the first time in 25 days to take on the Wingmen in round 1 of the AHA C3 playoff pool.

This marks the fourth consecutive appearance for the C3 (and D1) Spiders in the AHA post-season. The Spiders clinched the sixth and last seed in week 19, and will face off against the second-seeded Wingmen this evening, 6 p.m. at BIG 2.

In the regular season, the Spiders and Wingmen met twice, and the Spiders were a goal behind in each, the first one heading to OT, and the second, after falling behind and mounting a futile comeback.

The last (and only) time the Spiders and Wingmen met in the playoffs was last season, round 2 of the Round Robin pool play, where the Spiders won in dramatic fashion in the final 25 seconds.
