Spiders/Royals doubleheader at Augsburg tonight!

The AHA scheduling czars have again aligned the moon and stars — pairing the Spiders with the Royals tonight at Augsburg ... twice.

For the second time this season, the D1 and C2 Spiders clubs will face off against the same D1/C2 opponent on the same night. This time, however, it’s on the same ice sheet, and the stakes are for post-season longevity.

First up, the Pool B #4 seed D1 squad tries to redeem its playoff run, facing the #2 seed D1 Royals in a matinee-start at 6 p.m. at Augsburg A.

Then, at 9:30, it’s the Pool B #1 seed C2 squad’s turn, as they look to carry their shutout momentum against the #3 seed C2 Royals, also at Augsburg A.

Lifetime against the Royals, the D2/D1 Spiders have gone 2–6, with the C2 team not meeting them since the D2 days.

Two Spider squads, two Royals squads, one sheet of ice. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see a two-for-one of adult rec hockey. Don’t miss it!
