The Spiders started out slow and down 1 goal after the first period in a game where the Dragons only had 9 skaters. The second period turned around quickly as the Spiders out shot the Dragons 18-0 and led after two quick goals by Brian Armogost. The Spiders continued in the third period notching up 5 goals and ending up with an 8-2 victory. The Spiders managed to stay out of the box. Spider coaching staff will be reviewing plenty of game tapes to try and crack the code on the continued slow start that frequently hits the Spiders.
Once playoffs begin, the Spiders will not have the luxury of skating for only 2 periods and still come out ahead. Nonetheless, the Spiders celebrate a victory this evening.
