Spiders back on track with dominating 5-2 win over Gators

It was a comprehensive and dominating performance for the Spiders on Tuesday with a 5-2 win over the Gators.

Christian Peterson opened the scoring midway through the opening stanza with Brent Murray and Matt Adleman scoring two quick goals in the second to give the Spiders a commanding lead. The Gators got back to 3-2 early in the third to make it interesting before Ryan Wilson and Peterson tallied to regain the three-goal cushion. The Spiders cruised from there, dominating shots 21-7 in the third period.

The Spiders will next take on the Rack Attack on the big ice at BIG 3 on Sunday, March 11th. The Rack Attack sit in 6th place, one game out of the 4th playoff spot. They will be without the services of their chief goon K. McGaa. McGaa, after two previous game ejections and a two-game suspension for accumulated penalty minutes, will miss some more time. A game misconduct paired with a roughing minor means he will miss one game for the GM and three additional for surpassing 60 penalty minutes.
