Spiders score early and often in win over the Chiefs

The Spiders scored early and scored often in a comfortable win over the Chiefs.

Derk Jacobson opened the scoring just 22 seconds into the game. Josh Cagle and Ryan Wilson added goals as the Spiders dominated the first period.

The second period brought more of the same as Derk Jacobsen (third goal in two games) and Matt Adelmann (with a penalty shot) extended the lead to 5-1. The Chiefs threatened to make it interesting with two quick goals as they took advantage of lapses in the Spiders defensive solidarity. Ryan Wilson came to the rescue with two quick goals to make the final score 7-3.

Brian Dow finished with 21 saves and moves to 8-3-1-0 on the season. Same for the Spiders who remain in 2nd place. Next up are the Venom on Sunday, February 11th.
