Offense sputters as Spiders fall to Venom 1-0

Although the Venom entered the game fresh off being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, you wouldn’t have known it from their effort. This was most evident from the performance of Venom back-up goalie Carson Turnquist who turned away all 28 Spider shots en route to a Venom 1-0 win.

The Spiders continue to run into hot goalies with the opposing netminders putting up a 95.5% save percentage over the past three games.

The loss cements the Spiders at second place in the B3 East. The regular season finale will be on Thursday, March 23rd against the last place Spitfires as the Spiders look to regain their offensive mojo before the playoffs.
