A capacity crowd of 14 saw the return of Brian Dow to the Spiders net on Sunday, just three months after hip replacement surgery. The wonders of modern medical technology!
Same old story – short bench, good effort, close game though 1 ½ periods, tired legs give out late. The March 6th version of the game had Tom Prausa giving the Spiders an early lead off a nice feed from Justin Stone. Shawn Tromiczak added a goal sandwiched around Landsharks goals to close the second period 2-2. As fatigue set in the Landsharks swarmed the Spiders zone, scoring three late goals to take a 5-2 win.
Dow was tested early and often, making 27 saves.
