Fighting Piranhas crush Spiders 11-3

Nothing went right for the Spiders as they were crushed by the Fighting Piranhas 11-3.

The loss drops the Spiders to 3-2-0 on the season. At this point its unclear whether the Spiders are any good.

Evidence the Spiders are good:

  • A dominant 6-2 win over the Chaos, who now sit atop the B3 West with a 3-1-1 record.
  • A 4-1 win over the Wild, who are 3-1-0 with results from their game on Sunday not reported.

Evidence the Spiders suck:

  • Losing 11-3.
  • A 7-3 loss to the Yellow Jackets, who now sit at 1-4-0.

Luckily for the Spiders the rest of the B3 West division seem to be in the same spot without any clearly dominant teams.

This differs from the B3 East where the Ice Hogs are as dominant as you would expect with a team that won the championship last year and brough back the entire teem and improved in goal. They are currently 5-0 and are outshooting their opponents by a 2:1 ratio while outscoring their opponents 24 to 4. Anyone willing to take bets when the league announces the Ice Hogs will be moved to B2 for the playoffs?

The Spiders look to right the ship on Sunday, December 6th against the Battle Cats. The Battle Cats are 1-2-1 in their return to the B3 level after spending last season at B2. Face off is at 9:00pm at New Hope South.
