Spiders say ‘Warriors, Come Out and Play...eyay’

The Spiders came out to play tonight, despite some equipment losses (thank god for a close Dick’s Sporting goods store), a shot to the tum tum to Lindsley and a bum knee cap on the Goalie Sande. It was quite a night in the nets for the Spiders. Chad Sande is the best in the business, even with a bad knee. I don’t know what hurt more, his busted up knee, or watching him get up everytime using the goal post. Chad played a heck of a game given the situation. He gets the game puck, just for tuffness.

The scoring started in the first with a goal by Jim Maietta assisted by Bruce Gustafson. The Spiders continued in the second with goals by Bob Harnett on a tip in from the shot of Shawn Tromiczak, after the draw by Schliesman. It was quickly followed by another goal by Dave Schliesman on a perfect set up from Shawn Tromiczak. Chris Smith finished the scoring in the third perion on a pass from Dave Schliesman. The Spiders outshot the Warriors 25–19 and did a good job of controlling most of the game. The Spider legs seem to be getting in better shape, now after game 3. The Spider Defensmen (Chris Stalpes, John Trentor, Shawn Tromiczak, Josh Cagle and Greg Lindsley) did an excellent job of clearing in front of the net and protecting our goalie.

Penaties came from The Mad Italian I (Jim Maietta), Chris Stalpes and Bob Harnett. The Warriors were called for 4 penalties. The Spiders are doing a good job of staying out of the box. One of the Spider Penalties resulted in a power play goal.
