Extra! Extra! News from the mid-season AHA captains meeting

Not a whole lot to report from the AHA captains meeting. There was the usual discussion about jerseys (teams must have matching jerseys), beer (not in the locker rooms), and suspensions (don’t get suspended).

Of note is the format of the playoffs. In the C1 tier, the top 4 teams from each division qualify for the playoffs. Playoff pools will have the 1st and 4th place teams from one division with the 2nd and 3rd place teams from the other division. Three pool games will be played and then the pool champions will advance oto the championship game.

Playoffs will begin Tuesday, April 2nd with championship games on Sunday, April 7th. It’s expected that games will begin on Friday in the early afternoon rather than going all day on Friday as they did last year.
