Predators sweat out the summer regular season

The Predators — the Spiders’ (and friends) summer team in Level 3 West of the AHA — finished up the regular summer season tonight in style … and sweat.
Tonight’s highlight: two goals by Mike Montgomery!
Otherwise, the Predators found that playing up a level led to a lot of blowouts for the opposition, though goalkeeper Eric Anderson got to see plenty of shots all summer: a whopping 418 shots in 10 games … an average of 41.8 per game! He racked up a high save percentage: .846.
The Predators were able to pull one victory out in the regular season, against a strong Oilers club, in an overtime duel on June 27.
The summer also saw the goaltending debut of Mike Montgomery, playing sans pads against the Stars on July 12!
It ain’t over yet, though. The Predators will have a chance at continuing the summer fun into the playoffs, facing the Blues in a fight-for-the-bottom-seed playoff play-in game on August 14.
