Pleasant Spider Saturday

The Spiders found the net, and the win column, over the short-benched Bold North.

The Spiders returned to the Pleasantly soft ice of Pleasant Arena in St. Paul for the second weekend in a row. But unlike last week’s defeat to the Boreals, the Spiders more than doubled up the shot totals, peppering the opposition net with 45 pucks, leading to a double-up score, of 4–2.

And while the first goal against the Spiders shouldn’t have counted, video review at the St. Paul municipal facility was as lacking as the refrigeration thermostat and dressing facilities. For the remainder of the game, Tejeda stood on his head in front of his hometown crowd.

Scoring the Spiders, Krough got the offense started, from Johnson (T), then Johnson (M), from Ronneberg and Schroeder (in his first of a back-to-back on the same soft sheet). Andres got the eventual gamewinner from the point, assist to Johnson (M), who also helped on the insurance marker from Berman early in the third.

Final score: 4–2
