AHA finalizes C3 tier

The new C3 level will have 14 teams, all in a single division. With 14 teams, the chances to develop familiarity with teams will be slim, as the C3 Spiders will likely face only a handful of teams twice this season. That is, unless they are one of the top six teams that will make it to the post-season.

C3 teams:

• Diablos C3 (17–2–1–0; D1 East 2nd place)
• Fighting Ice Fish (10–6–4–0; D1 East 5th place)
• Fighting Piranhas C3 (5–14–0–1; D1 North 7th place)
• Fighting Saints (8–12–0–0; D1 West 6th place)
• Lakers C3 (12–8–0–0; D1 East 4th place)
• Maroons C3 (10–8–1–1; D1 West 3rd place)
• Mintalar Moose (new team)
• Nighthawks (10–8–2–0; D1 North 5th place)
• Puck Hounds (14–4–2–0; D1 West 2nd place)
• Royals C3 (8–10–1–1; D1 West 5th place)
• Sled Dogs C3 (11–6–2–1; D1 North 4th place)
• Spiders C3 (19–0–1–0; D1 West 1st place)
• Wingmen (14–5–1–0; D1 North 3rd place)

As was announced earlier, the Lumberjacks (15–3–1–1; D1 North 1st place; D1 champions) and Northern Horde (18–1–0–1; D1 East 1st place; D1 runners-up) have moved up to C2. The Diablos, the other top-four D1 finisher along with the Spiders, will remain at C3 after going through significant off-season roster upheaval.

D1 teams:

For the record, D1 will also have one division, with 13 teams. All the “new” D1 teams, with their 2010–11 regular season record and finish:
