Spiders’ 5 wins move them tied for second place in a 6–1 win over the Bulls

The Spiders saw the return of Jim Maietta after an undisclosed upper body injury. Jack Delsing eventually showed up after his holiday card exchange. Boy I bet that was a fun event. Next year we will ask the AHA to work around that schedule.

In a strong offensive and defensive performance the Spiders played an exceptional game. Brian Dow stopped 20 saves on 21 shots, while continuing to be one of the AHA elite goalies. The Stalpes Wall (urine test pending), Delsing, Cagle and Harnett, continue to control the blue line in what is shaping up as one of the best D’s in the AHA.

Scoring tonight broke down this way. Brad Butalla scored twice on strong play with Shawn Tromiczak and Tim Forcelle. The return of Jim Maietta to the 2nd line produced 4 goals, 2 for both Schliesman and Maietta. Doug Thorson had 3 assists.

The Spiders family section was also buzzing tonight. Some youngsters even made their way into the dressing room, looking for an autograph and some fun hang'in out with the winning Spiders.

Attendance was 13 people plus 1 dog.
